PASIA’s position: vertical integration across the honeycomb value chain
PASIA operates a complete in-house honeycomb core production line and independently designs and manufactures aerospace-grade and commercial-grade aluminum honeycomb cores, with process and product quality reaching international leading standards. Its portfolio spans aluminum honeycomb cores, aramid/Nomex honeycomb cores, carbon fiber honeycomb panels, PP thermoplastic honeycomb, and specialized honeycomb energy absorbers. Carbon fiber aramid honeycomb panels—Nomex/aramid core with carbon fiber prepreg skins—achieve densities as low as 29–160 kg/m³ with high shear strength, flame retardancy and low smoke toxicity, and fatigue resistance suitable for satellite panels, load-bearing structures and UAV chassis.
On the manufacturing side, PASIA has invested in both automated laser welding lines and vacuum brazing technology—one of the few manufacturers in the industry to operate the two simultaneously. This dual-process capability is directly relevant to the industry’s two hardening requirements: thermoplastic/composite structures on one side, and high-temperature metallic sealing on the other. The company also provides OEM/ODM services and employs 3D printing (FDM/MJF) for rapid prototyping of complex nested honeycomb architectures with precision up to ±0.05 mm. Production management is certified under ISO9001:2008, with quality systems aligned to GJB 9001C-2017 for defense-adjacent applications. Products are exported to Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Korea, Singapore, the Middle East, Russia and Australia.
Seals and MRO: from component supply to lifecycle support
PASIA’s vacuum-brazed nickel superalloy honeycomb seal has obtained its first trial qualification certification from an aircraft user, a milestone that moves the product from bench qualification into flight-user validation. The seal line covers Haynes 214, Hastelloy X, stainless steel and high-temperature alloys, with cell sizes from 0.8 mm to 5.6 mm and wall thicknesses from 0.08 mm to 0.2 mm, available as rings, segments, strips or sheets. Haynes 214 seals are rated for oxidation resistance up to 1260°C, with laser welding and vacuum brazing deployed to achieve cell integrity at operating clearances that reduce leakage and fuel burn.
